Awesome Ulsan!

Ulsan is an amazing city!!

Ulsan, with its population of more than one million, is situated on the beautiful east coast, 40 miles northeast of Pusan -- Korea's 2nd largest city. It is also a quick flight or bullet train ride to Seoul.

People living in Ulsan have best of all worlds. There is a vibrant expatriate community here, attracted to the city's mild climate and many beaches. The average temperature is 15 degrees Celsius, and the mercury rarely dips below zero. The mild temperatures are perfect for exploring the area's history and beautiful surroundings.
Hikes through the Naewonam Valley on Mt. Daeun offer magnificent views of the surrounding lakes, falls, and rocks. Ulgi Park, Ulgi lighthouse and Mt. Gajisan Provincial Park are also right next door to Ulsan, and allows visitors the chance to discover the ancient Silla Kingdom. Tongdosa, Korea's largest and most famous Buddhist temple is really close-by: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tongdosa.

In addition, the city is the thriving corporate base for the multinational conglomerate, Hyundai. However, its people are not all work and no play. They are enthusiastic sportsmans. Ulsan hosts the K League football club and the soccer team, Ulsan Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, which plays in the National League. In addition, the city has a growing university population, thanks to the University of Ulsan.
