HOW DO I GET AN E2 VISA?

Step1.
Please obtain:
1. your original Bachelor's Degree
2. 3 sets of sealed, official, university transcripts
3. criminal background check

Interview with Pegasus

Step3.
Canadians ONLY: You must obtain a criminal check + vulnerable sector search. Your documents must then be sent to the Korean Consulate in your jurisdiction to be verified, then sent back to you.
Americans, British, Australians, South Africans, New Zealanders, NOT Canadians: must get your STATE-WIDE criminal checks appostilled.

Step4.
Interview with school in Korea.
Once you have a contract from your school, you must send your documents to the school in Korea by FedEX, DHL or UPS.
Once the school has received your documents they will submit them to Immigration to sponsor your visa. This takes about a week to 10 days. Immigration will issue the school with a Visa Insurance Number which will be e-mailed to you.

Step5.
Once you have you Visa Issuance Number, you will apply for your E2 Visa at the Korean Consulate in your jurisdiction. At this time, you will need to arrange an interview with the consulate before they can issue you your E2 Visa.

It takes about 5-10 days for the Consulate to processes your E-2 Visa. The cost varies depending on what country you are applying from, usually $65 CANADIAN.

Once you have been issued your E2 Visa, your school will arrange your flights and send you an e-ticket. Pack your bags, you're on your way!

When you get to Korea, your director will take you, along with your passport, degree and transcripts to the Korean Immigration Office to apply for an Alien Registration Card.

This will be your I.D. Card while you are there.
